After the massive let down of Cody Ries last fight against Paul Bzdel which resulting in Bzdel taking a knee after a blow resulting in a NC the Renegade felt robbed of a fight and was very disappointed in his opponent. The amount of training Cody puts in and to have the fight called off not even with one round in the books really itches at the Renegade as loves to compete and wants to put his skills to the ultimate test come fight night. K.O boxing looked towards getting Cody an opponent which comes to fight and will challenge the Renegade for their December card.
Ryan Wagner was the opponent matched up for Cody Ries in December 04 2015.
With a strong amateur background and positive professional record with opponents like (Steve Claggett, Samuel Vargas & Stuart McLellan) to name a few Ryan Wagner is a very quality opponent for the Renegade.
TSN-report article of Ryan Wagner’s fight vs Samuel Vargas record (22-2)
The most exciting fight on the card was a six round tilt between Ontario welterweights Samuel Vargas and Ryan Wagner. In a fight which appeared to have some "bad blood", Wagner and Vargas took part in some heated exchanges. Over the distance however it was Vargas sheer intensity which made the difference as he pounded out a well-deserved and hard-fought unanimous decision to remain undefeated.
Ryan Wagner last win was over a very tough middleweight Stuart McLellan record (12-2)
Cody Ries comments “I respect Ryan Wagner a great deal and this is match has fireworks written all over it”
